PPC: Unique and Effective Real Estate Marketing Strategies (Part 4)

There are a myriad of ways that any realtor can go about listing their client’s homes. There are print ads, online ads, and the ever present signage. However, the advent of the internet has presented a few unique takes on the standard, requisite ways of marketing any given property. One of the most interesting propositions to arise out of the new internet possibilities is PPC. PPC stands for pay per click and it is an advertising scale that does exactly what it sounds like it does: it offers proprietors prime placement on a given website and every time that particular advertisement is clicked, the host gets paid a predetermined fee.

Say, for example, that you specialize in real estate in  Mississippi. If you want to launch a PPC campaign then you must look for websites that cater to people in Mississippi who may be looking searching for “Mississippi real estate” online. Once you have found a suitable website that ensures large amounts of traffic, particularly traffic populated by your ideal demographic, then you can place your ad on that website and watch the hits come pouring in.  Identifying your demographic is essential in laying the foundation for a successful real estate online marketing campaign. If you identify your potential demographic correctly, you can place your ad with confidence, knowing that you truly will notice a significant uptick in the amount of traffic that your website experiences.

PPC is beneficial and money smart, especially if you are marketing homes, in the sense that you will only pay money when someone clicks on an advertisement that they are truly interested in. Think of your own web surfing habits. If you see an ad that appeals to you, then you click on it. If you don’t, you simply move on. PPC campaigns only require you to pay a fee when someone clicks on your advertisement. This means that you don’t pay a flat fee that may or may not reach a customer; you pay a fee only when someone actually sees your real estate listings. Sounds like a foolproof way to ensure you are truly addressing the needs of your target audience and that your ads are actually being seen by interested persons.

Launching a successful PPC campaign is one of the smartest, most money-conscious ways to maximize your advertising dollar. There are a few things you must keep in mind to be successful, but if you follow the advice given above, and any other advice that a professional SEO company may offer, then your real estate listings will be sold quicker than you’ve ever sold one before!
